Ideal for placement in Primary Care doctor's offices and clinics. Easy to access buttons with 40 dB tone that is presented at 500, 1,000, 2,000, and 4,000 Hz. Powered by two AAA alkaline batteries (included). It features a low battery warning light. Dimensions are approximately 4-1/8" long by roughly 2" wide at the widest part by 1-1/4" high.

Operation:

The hearing screener must be used in a quiet room to be effective.
A separate button is used for each frequency.
Turn power on and wait 15 seconds for proper activation.
Tell the person being screened the following:

The right ear will be tested first.
Four (4) different frequency tones will be presented.
Raise their index finger when they hear a tone or think that they hear a tone.
Tell them when each tone starts (500Hz, 1,000Hz, 2,000Hz and 4,000Hz)
Record results noting when a frequency
is heard
Repeat the same process for the left ear.

If you believe that the person is faking the results, retest by telling them only to respond when they hear or think they hear a tone.

If green power light flashes or appears dim or unlit, please replace both batteries.
