HearingScan
HearingScan
HearingScan is a professional screening audiometer designed to measure air conduction hearing thresholds from 40 - 80 dB. However, it cannot identify mild hearing losses under 40 dB or replace a comprehensive hearing assessment by an audiologist. We recommend that all patients with any hearing-related symptoms be referred to audiologists for assessment.
Operation Guide:
1. Insert 3 pcs AAA batteries into the battery compartment correctly.
2. Long press the M button for 3 seconds to switch on the audiometer; the default starting figures “500Hz 40 dB” will be shown on the LCD display.
3. Select the frequency and decibel by pressing the buttons.
4. Short press the M button to stimulate the tone; cover the patient’s ear with the speaker cushion to proceed with hearing testing.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to test hearing at different frequencies and decibels.
6. Long press the M button for 3 seconds to switch off the audiometer after finishing hearing testing.
(The device will be turned off automatically if no operation is performed for 3 minutes).
